A change is in the air. As we say goodbye to another winter and the flu, and welcome the warmer day and nights, the busy bees in the gardens bringing us new blooms and the singing birds showing off their new additions…

It’s Springtime again.

Talking of new additions we at Sunnymeade have welcomed a new resident to our lake, “Mr Duck”. He has been well received by our resident “Mrs Duck”. There are rumours that Mrs Duck is now sitting on five eggs...we will have to wait and see if we get ducklings.

We have also had some pirates in our facility on Monday the 19th September for International Talk like a Pirate Day. Most of us had not heard of this, however it seemed like a good idea for loads of fun with the good old pirate slang and to get out and about to do a few activities.

A few staff got into the spirit by getting dressed up in theme, with their pirates slang of “Ahoy, matey’s”, “Shiver me timbers” and “Blimey”! We hope no one had to walk the plank.
